Welcome! This is the first day Mindless Eating is on sale. This past month we’ve had the chance to have a couple writers visit us for a day or two to see some of what goes on behind the scenes when we do food experiments. Both Nanci Hellmich (the veteran Health and Nutrition editor from USA Today) and Kim Severson (from the New York Times and formerly the San Francisco Chronicle) have covered our research in the past, and it was great to have them up to see the daily chaos. Both of them wrote incredible articles about our research and what it means for people who want to eat a little less food and enjoy it a whole lot more. Nanci’s story (with a great front page teaser photo) can be found at USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2006-10-10-mindless-eating_x.htm) and Kim’s (which was the most e-mailed NYTimes story for the 2 days following the story) can be found at the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/11/dining/11snac.html?ref=dining). Again Welcome. We hope we can offer you some ideas and tips that can help you use food to “be what you want to be.”
